The Atokowa Company was founded in 1964 Lachlan Atokowa in Sydney and started business operations in printing brochures, flyers, fax headers, business cards, and letterheads. Atokowa Advantage is a major leading organization in the Australian industry of stationary and office supplies. The organization is involved in selling a wide range of stationary and office supplies to business organizations and people of Australia (Hakes, 1991). There are many retailing outlets used to deliver stationary and office supplies directly to organizations. The organization started its business operations by initiating with photocopying business while utilizing Xerox 914 machine, which was the first commercially successful photocopying machine (Islam, 2006). The business of the organization consistently grew due, to which the vision of the organization developed into one-stop shop for stationary and office supplies. This causes the expansion of outlets containing a wide range of paper, office supplies, and office furniture (Brue, 2005). 

3. Analysis of Systems and Operations Management of Atokowa Advantage 

a. Input-Process-Output Model

The input-process-model is widely known as the IPO model reflecting a functional and conceptual schema of general system. The IPO model specifically possess certain interdisciplinary applications, which are used to deliver systems fundamentals within information technology along with a brainstorming, preliminary investigation tool within systems development procedures (Bell& Wood-Harper, 2003). Volume has important implications for the way in which the operations of Atokowa Advantage are organized and the first obvious thing is the repeatability of tasks and the systematization of work while following the standards set for carrying out the operations. The tasks of Atokowa Advantage, however, are systematized and repeated for which it is essential to increase and expand the retail outlets along with the increase in employees for each retail outlet (Ben-Daya et al., 2009).


The Atokowa Advantage is offering a wide range of products for its consumers, which reflects the flexibility in operations of the organization. The management of retail outlets of Atokowa Advantage is required to possess sufficient knowledge of the area and communication between the supplier and consumers (Ben-Daya et al., 2009).
